The NJIT Solar Car Team is a student-run organization focused on designing and building a solar-powered vehicle. Originally launched in 2017, we're back with a renewed mission to promote sustainable energy, hands-on learning, and real-world experience for students of all majors.

Our mission is simple: design, create, and compete. We want to empower students through hands-on technical work, while promoting sustainability and real-world engineering experience.
The NJIT Solar Car Team is an entirely student-run organization whose goal is to complete the research, design, and construction of NJIT’s full-size solar-powered electric vehicle. Formed in the spring of 2017, the team offers an interdisciplinary, project-based learning community which seeks to provide students with real-world experience in systems engineering.
